Rob is a native of Colorado and was raised in Fort Collins. He played all sports growing up, but his passion was soccer and wrestling in High School while attending Rocky Mountain High School.

Rob then spent his first few years out of high school attending College part time and getting licensed with a Real Estate , Securities and Insurance licenses’ Not sure what direction to go, he thought by having all of these licenses it would open the door to many options down the road. ( really it was a sign of confusion)

In 1990 he opened a snowboard / skateboard clothing shop in Campus West Fort Collins until 1996 when he made the decision it was time to move on to a new venture.

He married Laura Morehouse Koellner in 1997, who is also a native to Fort Collins. Together they have four children 19, 18, 12 and 10 who are all living here in town.

In 2002, he made the decision to get back into the real estate finance field working for several banks and mortgage companies all related to lending / loan origination. He joined Excel Financial Group as a Mortgage Financial Advisor in 2008 and is now a partner in the firm.

Although Rob is based in Fort Collins, he has always serviced all of Colorado and has an office located in Crested Butte, Colorado. He chose Crested Butte because it is a wonderful place for snow sports in the summer and mountain biking / camping in the summer. It is another beautiful ski town (there are so many) in Colorado! When Rob is not working on finance deals, you can find him skiing, mountain biking or camping. Rob’s favorites are Breckenridge, Steamboat, and Crested Butte... to name a few. In the summer you can find him camping in Estes Park or the Poudre Canyon.
